Advocating loyalty and faith, loyalism culture as the core content of the Confucian culture, the mainstream idea of the Three Kingdoms Period as well as an important component of the Chinese traditional culture. 

Tracing the history, it can be found that the loyalism culture went through the whole course of history of the Chinese nation. From “Loyalty, respect and ritual” were upheld in Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties to “benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom and faith” were the classic Confucian culture advocated in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period; there was “destiny”, “taking an oath by killing a white horse”, Records of the Historian written by Sima Qian, “paying supreme tribute to Confucianism while rejecting all other schools of thought” advocated by Dong Zhongshu in Han Dynasty, there was “supporting Liu Bei to revitalize Han Dynasty” and “Three Chinese Heros” in the Three Kingdoms Period, and especially Guan Yu was endowed by later generations with so many symbols and signs of the loyalty spirit and became the model of loyalism advocated by successive reigns and dynasties. 

The doctrine of Confucius and Mencius lies in enlightenment of the human heart, while the loyalism culture upholds practice, which is the best representative of the Confucian culture. Adhering to the cultural confidence, both the Confucian culture and the loyalism culture are excellent Chinese traditional cultures. Carrying forward the loyalism culture is a necessary requirement for realizing the Chinese Dream of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. 1.4 billion Chinese people should work together, and the core is the loyalism spirit. There are three meanings. The highest realm is the loyalty to the Party, the country and the nation, followed by the loyalty to the collective where individuals serve and the loyalty to personal dream and belief. In fact, these three meanings can be summarized with one word: Loyalty Oriented  Benevolence First. Otherwise, we cannot overcome the same difficulties, pull together and realize the great Chinese dream! 

Zhuozhou City is the birthplace of the loyalism culture of the Three Kingdoms Period as well as the cradle of Shu Han regime. 1,800 years ago, Zhuozhou people Liu Bei, Zhang Fei and non-native people Guan Yu “became sworn brothers in the peach orchard”. They had the common ideal, created immortal legends and forged a splendid historical monument. The benevolence of Liu Bei, the loyalty of Guan Yu and the righteousness of Zhang Fei, the loyalism spirits of the Three Kingdoms Period advocated and formed by them, are precious spiritual wealth left to the descendants. Modern Zhuozhou people are responsible and obliged to make efforts to inherit and carry forward the loyalism culture, and demonstrate the value of the loyalism culture in this era to make contributions to building “Strong City Nearby Beijing, Beautiful Zhuozhou”. 

Based on such patriotism, people insist on taking responsibilities and carrying forward the loyalism culture with respective cultural and historical accomplishment. Over years of efforts, this group of positive people have made joint efforts, have carried out a wide scope of surveys, have visited talents and taken advices and have carried out a lot of publicity and cultural activities within nearly one year of trial run, achieving good social benefits. 

On the occasion of the opening of Zhuozhou Loyalism Culture Association, we are looking forward to seeing a bright future of the association. First, it always adheres to the principles of the Party, keeps highly consistent with the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, strictly abides by the unified deployment of the Publicity Department of the Municipal Party Committee, obeys work arrangement of the Municipal Literary Federation, actively proposes suggestions on carrying forward loyalism culture and tries to be the assistant of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government; second, it is aggressive, blazes new trials in an innovative way, works hard and strives for the best; third, responsibilities are specified, collaboration is conducted, and everyone spares no effort to carry out the proposed “six sectors” properly; fourth, the leading and demonstration roles of experts and scholars are fully exerted, to make academic achievements in terms of history and culture and gain in terms of education popularization; fifth, historical culture is carried forward to improve the quality of members and member enterprises to promote development of member enterprises; sixth, the Association should establish in a wide scope a friendly relationship with associations in other regions to promote healthy development of the Loyalism Culture Association.
